GHS Library

Most classes for adults (16 years and older) are held in the evenings on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Courses will be offered to fill many needs: enrichment courses for people looking to learn some new skills or explore an area of study; diploma courses for people looking to earn credits toward a high school diploma or brush up on key areas before heading into a college program; GED study classes for people interested in completing the General Education Development equivalency exam.

 Who is eligible?

Any adult 16 or older. We are especially interested in serving those adults who have left school without their diploma and who need their diploma for employment or further educational goals. Any adult who has difficulty reading or doing basic math may also benefit from these programs.
What is the cost?
Most diploma courses are currently $125.00 per course plus the cost of books. Enrichment courses will be priced individually, depending on the number of times the classes meet and the supplies necessary for the course.
How do people apply?
Complete the one page registration form available throughout the community, or print one from online and send it in to the GAP office.  Feel free to contact GHS Adult Education (497-4841ext 356) with any questions or concerns, or to request a copy of the current form.
What does the GAP need?
We need people interested in engaging in lifelong learning. We need community members who are skilled in all sorts of areas to come forth and teach their craft or skill to community members. We need people across the community to support those who commit to lifelong learning - tell people about the Goffstown Adult Ed program, encourage students who are in school, encourage people who have left school to try again. Volunteers to assist in select classes are always needed as well as volunteers to assist with program needs such as brochure distribution, press releases and general office support.

Volunteer Fingerprinting

FingerprintSAU #19 continues to host fingerprinting opportunities throughout the school year on the first Wednesday of each month from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. Volunteers do not need to make an appointment during these open times, just check in with the receptionist at the SAU office. You will need a photo identification and a personal check or money order for $20.75 made payable to State of NH - Criminal Records (which per-Goffstown policy can be reimbursed once you document five hours of volunteer time). Cash payment will no longer be accepted.
