My Role:
I teach four sections of Spanish II and one section of AP Spanish. I am also one of the assistant coaches for the girls' soccer team and a co-advisor of the senior class.

About Me:
This is my sixth year at GHS and I am looking forward to another great year. I have always had a passion for languages and found Spanish to be the most practical and useful language to learn. I earned my B.A. in Spanish from Keene State College in 2004 and my M.A.T. Spanish from Rivier College in 2008.

Expectations for AP Spanish students:

This is a college level course and English will only be permitted as a last resort in order to gain an understanding of an important concept. Approximately two or three hours of homework will be assigned each week, the majority of which will be reading assignments, studying vocabulary, and completing grammar review exercises. It is my hope that everyone in the class will feel confident enough to take the AP Exam in May. For more information please read my expectations sheet given to each student at the beginning of the year.

Expectations for Spanish Two students:

Students are expected to come to class prepared to hear Spanish about 90% of the time and willing to practice speaking the language to the best of their ability. Students should arrive on time with the materials they will need to be successful: a writing utensil and a three-ring binder to keep their notes and vocabulary organized. Students will also be expected to use a variety of internet resources including Moodle, which contains vocabulary, notes, quizzes and other activities designed to help students get more practice.
Students should spend 10 - 15 minutes a day either reading, writing, speaking or listening to Spanish outside of class. This can be done by watching Spanish television, chatting with a friend in Spanish, or studying the material and vocabulary covered in class. For more information please read my expectations sheet given to each student at the beginning of the year.

There are many online practice websites available to any student of Spanish. Below you will find a list of links that offer great interactive games and activities that will help all of my students be successful. Practice makes perfect!

Here are some websites that will review much of the vocabulary and grammar you learned in Spanish One:
