Holly Burke, Library Media Specialist
Mrs. Larochelle, Library Assistant

The goal of the school library program is to help students and staff become effective users of information. Students and staff will come to the library to learn, discover and share books, information and ideas. The information center circulates an average of 1,000 books per month. The library catalog can be accessed from classrooms, offices and home computers. It is a busy happy place.  Here is some of what you will see in our library:

1. Books.  Our mission is to support the reading development of students at Bartlett.  We circulate an average of 1000 books per month.   Students are learning how to search for materials on-line in our Destiny catalog and find them on the shelves.

2. Makerspace Centers.  What are makerspaces?  It is a place where students can create, share, collaborate and discover new ideas.  Some popular makerspace activities include building electric circuits, exploring design and engineering with magnatiles, art, and jewelry making.  Students love having the time and space in the library to explore new things.

3. Technology.  Students come to the library two times per week.  One of those times is for media instruction in the computer lab.  We do research, writing, and publishing using the computers.

Overdue Books

We do not charge a fine for overdue books. Written overdue notices are sent out on a routine basis. We ask that you look for the book in the classroom and at home. If questionable, please come to the Information Center and we will double check to see if the book has been returned.

Lost Materials

We ask that families pay for damaged-beyond-repair or lost materials. The cost of the book is located on the overdue notices.

Damaged Materials

If a book becomes damaged at home or in the classroom, please do not attempt to repair it. Return the book with a message and we will repair it. We understand that accidents happen! Repairs of library materials require special supplies that do not discolor or dry out with age.

Advancing Student Learning

The mission of the Goffstown School District is to provide the opportunity for each student to obtain a substantive, challenging, and appropriate education that is consistent with the student's abilities, offered within a safe environment, and serves as a foundation for life-long learning. The Goffstown School Board expects measurable academic achievement. The BES library program supports this goal by helping students develop essential skills that enable them to make well-informed decisions and be successful.
