The goal of the school library program is to help students and staff become effective users of information.
The information center collection contains over 12,000 volumes, including books, media, magazines, and electronic resources. The library catalog can be accessed from classrooms, offices and home computers.
Overdue Books
We do not charge a fine for overdue books. Written overdue notices are sent out on a routine basis. We ask that you look for the book in the classroom and at home. If questionable, please come to the Information Center and we will double check to see if the book has been returned.

Lost Materials
We ask that families pay for damaged-beyond-repair or lost materials. The cost of the book is located on the overdue notices.

Damaged Materials
If a book becomes damaged at home or in the classroom, please do not attempt to repair it. Return the book with a message and we will repair it. We understand that accidents happen! Repairs of library materials require special supplies that do not discolor or dry out with age.

Services for Students
Instructional units integrating reference and information skills, technology and curriculum goals are collaboratively planned and taught by the media specialist and the classroom teacher.
We:

- Guide students through the research process

- Select and evaluate resources
- Utilize Databases
- Assist with locating materials
- Give computer assistance
- Provide instruction in using the patron catalog

The staff of the information center is eager to provide instructional support for classroom teachers and specialists.
We:
- Pull resources for thematic/curricular units
- Plan instructional units collaboratively
- Teach the research process to students
- Obtain materials through interlibrary loan
- Order specific titles
- Supply professional publications
- Provide AV equipment
- Help with equipment operation
- Provide technology support and integration
- Assist with online searching
- Suggest resources to support instruction
- Answer questions about copyright and fair use
- Provide staff development opportunities
