The goal of the school library program is to help students and staff become effective users of information. Students and staff will come to the library to learn, discover and share books, information and ideas. The information center circulates an average of 1,000 books per month. The library catalog can be accessed from classrooms, offices and home computers. It is a busy happy place. Here is some of what you will see in our library:
1. Books. Our mission is to support the reading development of students at Bartlett. We circulate an average of 1000 books per month. Students are learning how to search for materials on-line in our Destiny catalog and find them on the shelves.
2. Makerspace Centers. What are makerspaces? It is a place where students can create, share, collaborate and discover new ideas. Some popular makerspace activities include building electric circuits, exploring design and engineering with magnatiles, art, and jewelry making. Students love having the time and space in the library to explore new things.
3. Technology. Students come to the library two times per week. One of those times is for media instruction in the computer lab. We do research, writing, and publishing using the computers.
